Attorney Barrett is a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, the Cleveland County Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Inc. and the WealthCounsel. He is also part of the American Cancer Society National Professional Advisor Network.
Born and raised in Norman, Tyler Barrett attended the University of Oklahoma College of Law, graduating in May 2011. Barrett excelled in his studies, was named to the Dean’s List three times, and served as the Articles Editor for the Oklahoma Law Review. Barrett’s paper on the United States Supreme Court case Wyeth v. Levine was published in the Oklahoma Law Review Spring 2011 issue.
After graduation, Attorney Barrett worked in Oklahoma’s burgeoning energy sector, drafting title opinions for energy companies and mineral and royalty owners.
In July 2014, Attorney Barrett decided to found the Law Office of Tyler R. Barrett, P.L.L.C. to fulfill a goal of providing effective legal services to older adults and their loved ones as a Norman elder law attorney. Attorney Barrett understands firsthand how Alzheimer’s disease can impact a family, and wants to help Norman-area individuals who are in a similar situation. When Attorney Barrett is not practicing law, he spends time jogging and reading, attends St. John’s Episcopal Church, and routinely plays golf.
